A thoughtful extension to a classic Australian semi-detached home in Sydney’s inner west suburb of Marrickville, the project improves the flow of the house by achieving a high level of spatial generosity and maximises access to natural light through the insertion of clerestory windows and skylights.
Full height storage integrated within the joinery creates a clean and minimal look, whilst the kitchen island maximises bench space and serves as a hub for the client’s busy household.
A calm material palette of Tasmanian Oak timber joinery brings warmth to the house and ties in with the timber floors.
